Growth retarding A-road

This typical causeway was embellished with some third rate planting (remember, the lowest quote usually gets the tender). What councils usually don’t understand is that you’re better off getting some grade A trees, this will usually save you a lot of time and money. You won’t have to prune as much, the trees will heal quicker after pruning, if done correctly.
Another reason why trees tend not to do very well in this kind of environment is the shallowness of the planting hole and the poor quality of soil. If people had thought this through, this picture would have looked a lot nicer.
