Tree alert!
The extreme drought of 2003 will cause various victims; the results will be visible in 2004.
The high mortality rates show us that there is a severe dehydration going on. We can calculate how many liters a tree needs, thus allowing us to present a solution in the shape of a water drip feed system. Placing one requires craftsmanship, thus allowing sustainable action. The dosage must be calculated according to the type of soil, height of the terrain and various other parameters. It requires precision! We were able to intervene just in time with these beeches, thus limiting the damage.

In Flanders there have been various plagues of bark beetles. In the first phase they are difficult to detect seeing as the plague starts at the outer branches of the crown of the tree.
The problem is twofold, seeing as the crown then lets more sunlight onto the tree, thus accelerating the weakening of the tree.
